Affordable Ninja audio
I already owned the qudelix 5K before buying this product and I find that the default sound of the headphone is just fine as is. I come from listening to Etymotic in ears and a Hifiman Sundara and these do not disappoint at all. Especially for this price. Combined with a number of EQ profiles (via qudelix 5K or software like EasyEQ) this headphone gives me, portability, good sound, stealthy looking headphone and a free transparency mode, since this is an open back headphone.
Sound (without EQ)
The Koss KPH 40 have a little bit of a dark tuning compared to what I am used to (lots of treble), but there is still enough detail that I do not feel that I am missing something. Bass is rolled off and has a small bump at around 100hz in my experience. Overall a good sound and usable for many different things like gaming, listening to podcasts and music listening. An easy listen overall.
Sound (EQed)
I was surprised by what I can get out of these headphones with my prefered EQ settings.
The drivers are very capable and can produce a sound that sounds like other 150/200 dollar headphones to me. You can even do critical listening with this headphone when EQed in my opinion.
Comfort
These are insanely comfortable. You can easily find yourself looking for the headphones, when not listening to music and find that the headphones were already on your head...

If you are looking for a new headphone, that is stealthy, lightweight, sounds good and can even be given as a gift, look no further. Best value for money in the portable on ear headphone space in my opinion. I ordered three at first and ordered another five, to be able to give away as gifts (and a spare one for myself ofcourse ;) .

Drop's customer service has helped me in the past and I must say that they are willing to help you with any problem and are very quick with their response. The people on staff are very capable and I recommend buying from Drop.

Easily the best sub $100 headphone
In the audiophile world, opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one. IMO, these headphones sound insanely good for the price. Deep bass, warm signature, and a price tag that won’t break the bank. I love mine and can recommend them to anyone looking for a budget headphone that will sound distinctly better than other cheap sets.

King of Koss
The KPH40X Utility sounds like a cross between the Porta Pros and the KPH30i. It has a more mature tuning and to my ear sounds better. I like the headband but it seems a little brittle but no problems so far. I love Koss headphones.

FANTASTIC!
Man these are FUN. I will say, I have since modded my pair pretty extensively, but only because I love the vibe these have so much. I added detachable MMCX, a headband suspension strap, and lastly pad adapters that allow me to use Grado S Cushions.
Stock, I felt the bass was a bit too boomy for my liking. Using Yaxi pads helped quite a bit here, but I took it a step forward and currently use Grado S Cushions, which tame the bloated bass and add soundstage.
These ARE my travel headphones, and have been currently getting the most use out of every pair I own.

Awesome Casual Headphones
I'm certainly no audiophile but these things sound great and find myself picking them up often when at my desk or on the couch listening to music. Low cost, don't feel to cheap. Feels like a great value. Considering getting pairs for my friends.

Still amazing after a year of use!
I use this for pc gaming and voice calls, works great. I'm not an audiophile or anything, but these have served me well! I'm a big fan of the light, simple build and overall comfort. I can wear these for as long as I need to with no discomfort. And of course, the sound quality punches way above the price point compared to other "gaming" headsets I've used before in the $100 price point.
No issues after a year, I'm sure this can serve you a very long time if you're careful with it! Absolutely recommend.
